  2. It is me again.. ;)

I think Wave is a great idea, but why it takes all this attention and buzz.

I think they have not added much more to the tech by providing this solution. Small startups like Drop.io has provided a much intutive results before, and it does not take all that time google spent on such a project.

The Email threads they have invited added nothing to this... what does this differ from the Group your emails based on conversations???

IMHO Google during the last period doing nothing! yes nothing they are trying to do something, but nothing amazing, starting from Orkut, ending with Google videos, passing by Google Readers social features - I do not forget the great ideas they have made and added to the Search.

But personally, I'd like to see Google spending more and more time, on Google Search, Gmail, GTalk, Google Docs, and Google Calendar.

Google is still the leader in Search, but it lacks the innovation on other aspects like Social networking, and Photos.

    Regards,

  3. I still believe WAVE is a good implementation towards social email system, which fits under social networks like FB Twitter etc.

But I myself like this implementation

  4. I do agree with you, it is a good implementation, a good re-organization for the way that people used to with current email systems - I do like it.
But My point was, we miss the sense of innovation and creativity we used to with Google, and IMHO it does not worth all the buzz they have made for it.

I'll give you an example, Google has now "Search options" as an addition to the search results.... what a great feature. Look to the way they have improved the way we search, and how they derive the wheel of creativity in search, and ads.
Another project Google working on is "Google squared" or something like that!
http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/05/12/what-is-google-squared-it-is-how-google-will-crush-wolfram-alpha-exclusive-video/ In the domain of Search Engine, Information Retrieval I really see and touch their creativity and I do like it....

One think to mention: Thanks for these posts, and for your time - I really missed the discussions we have in the classes with you My Dr. Mustafa.

    Thanks :)

The Semantic Web

Semantic Web aims to create a meaning and define inter-relationship for information available on the web In the early stages of the World Wide Web (web) it was necessary to develop standards to view web content (HTML language) and to create communication channels (N-Tier applications, email, ftp, etc.). As the web started to be the world’s largest knowledge base, accessible world wide, it became important to develop tools to transfer knowledge between cultures. However, it is still not possible for applications and agents to interoperate with other applications and agents without having a predefined, human created common framework of the meaning of the information being transferred on both sides. Semantic Web (SW) alleviates this problem by providing a common framework that allows data to be shared and reused across application, enterprise, and community boundaries [W3C Semantic Web, 2019]. A clear example on SW application is schema.org. Google, Bing, Yahoo use schema...

Arabs In London

I was not able to watch Arabs in London episodes during the last holy month of Ramadan. I watched it recently on MBC. I was really impressed by the performance of some actors and actresses. The most impressive one was Mais Hamdan who was able to present the Palestinian accent efficiently. This TV series was written and directed by Anwar Qawadri a Syrian director who studied and lived in London. The below video is about 8 minutes show when Sami finds out that his friend Eddy (Adnan) passed away.
